The offense is horrible. No protection. No Quarterback. No Wide Receivers. Tight End is getting ancient as well. This is the worst OL I've seen in KC in quite some time. D is better than last year tho. Guess the pendulum swings back to the defense now. We'll have a good/great defense and no offense again. Being a Chiefs fan is the hardest thing I've ever had to do.

Only time the Chiefs play good is when they are completely out of it,(maybe not the only time but it seems to me that way) once were are eliminated from the playoff race we will be more relaxed and win the rest of the games!

It's amazing how fast you guys are to turn on everyone. I agree the ship HAS sailed and that our O line and recievers suck but to say we don't have a QB and that TG is getting old please. TG doesn't get the ball like before because A. Saunders somehow forgets about him and B. we have no other recieving threats so he gets mugged all the way down the field and has two or three guys covering him at all times. It isn't Gonzales it's the supporting cast, put him in the colts offense and he would be the Tony of old. And Trent though he may be immobile is one of the most consistent QB's still in the league but you have to protect the guy, we've seen what he can do when we do. At least use some logic when assessing the situation rather than saying " everyone sucks years over" We have plenty of good players at the skill positions except WR and our Line is crap, Shields and Waters can't block everyone. Makes me question even more letting Tait go when we had a YOUNG proven pro bowl tackle. It's funny how everyone was so adament that K. Bell was just going to be hurt and Surtain has been hurt much much more. Go's to show that none of us know crap really.

Green is in his mid thirties and Tony is thirty. They aren't getting younger and they won't be around for the next peak in the cycle. They have begun to decline in their ability and the slope is slippery. I am not saying they are ready for the scrap heap yet, but they can't stay good long enough for this team to fix it's problems and become a superbowl contender. Let 'em prove me wrong.

You all are so quick to give up on the Chiefs as a perennial loser. It's kind of sad. I mean, for all we know, the guys could pick up and win every game for the rest of the season. I don't know. I think they can still win it. Maybe that's just false idealism...

I think they can still win it. Maybe that's just false idealism... 1/27/05 New England Patriots 12/04/05 Denver Broncos 12/11/05 at Dallas Cowboys 12/17/05 at New York Giants 12/24/05 San Diego Chargers 01/01/06 Cincinnati Bengals Hmmmm, I see what you mean, we do have a shot of running the table. Who knows maybe we can even win it all I am guessing you are still quite young and havent followed the Chiefs long enough to know how this story ends. I have rooted for this team since 82'. Give yourself another 20 years of being let down over and over again and then see how rosy those glasses you are wearing look. I used to have your blinding optimism, but Carl has done stomped that out of me over the years. PS> If Al Saunders is our new coach next year, I am gonna change the name of this site to GIANTS Chat or Falcons Chat and be done with it once and for all. Sorry for the rant!

I don't know... I know for sure we can beat the Broncos and the Bengals. We've got a shot at the Chargers in KC and I think the Cowboys are done being any for a little while. Yes, I am quite young and I haven't felt the letdown on the same magnitude as everyone else, but then again I am your typical Kansas/Kansas City sports fan.
Here are my picks for us EVERY YEAR: Chiefs: in the range of 10-6 to 14-2. Super Bowl win. Royals: Last place in the division, but still the best team in baseball. Jayhawks (basketball): At least 25 wins and at least a final four slot. Mizzou: Dead last.
I don't know, man... I think my passion for the Chiefs and Jayhawks especially isn't gonna fade out. We've had our REEEEEEEEEEALLY CLOSE moments in the past and I think all it takes is that little breath to push us over the edge. There's always a chance... I just don't know how big.
The joys of being 16.

I don't know... I know for sure we can beat the Donkeys and the Bengals. how in the world can you be sure that we can beat denver when they kicked the crap outa us once this year already? the bengals are talented and balanced with a good quarterback. We struggle against good QB's because our pass defense sucks. it's going to be difficult

I can say that because it's Arrowhead and the Donks have a hard time winning there. I don't know what it is about that, but it's true. The Bengals, yeah they're good, but... I just have to believe that we'll pick up and beat 'em. It'll be a shootout, but as long as Trent doesn't throw any picks, I think we've got a shot.

Although I do grant that Jordan Black is a swinging gate.
