I think it makes sense to trade Johnson for Surtain, Johnson would be the starter in Miami and we would have a Starter at CB

If Priest goes down (as he has each of the past two years) who goes in at RB? Blaylock is gone. Johnson is all we have left. If we do that, we need to get a pick in addition to Surtain. Otherwise, why not just give up this year's first round pick for him? Trading Johnson would equal trading a first round pick...

• Conversations with Kansas City have intensified regarding a trade for Dolphins cornerback Patrick Surtain, but the Chiefs have reservations about meeting his request for a large signing bonus. Miami's Nick Saban has indicated he's not opposed to keeping Surtain.
Trading doesn't seem to be the problem, more like Carl and Lamar's unwillingness to pay the man. The guy is a Pro Bowl corner pay him what he's worth and let's do this.

carl won't trade johnson ...
Carl peterson hates the fans and the fact that fans were angry about the larry johnson draft pick pretty much clinches the fact the Peterson will do everything in his power to make johnson successful.
peterson luvs to give the finger to his own fan base.
that's why some people think that carl is rufus dawes... because they both have such low opinions of the football fan base.
carl is a dirtbag pig ... just get use to it
