The Chiefs site is talking like they are done in the free agency market... they are talking up drafting as the way to build a team. While I agree that the draft is the most important and the best way to build a team, it isn't when the Chiefs do the drafting. We just don't build teams the way the Pats, Eagles, Steelers, etc... seem to be able to. Maybe free agents aren't the best way to rebuild this team, maybe we'd be better suited to replace our draft team/scouts?

You claim to be a Chiefs fan and you still believe that anything will ever change. There's a reason I get optimistic about Knight and Bell cause it's the best that Carl is ever going to do and Lamar won't get rid of him. So I can either sit with my thumb in my mouth like you and pout because nothing ever gets done or I can be hopeful till about week 5 before I have to face the reality that we aren't going anywhere.

I'd be willing to bet CA Chiefs fan is pretty young... 24? No smack, just a guess. I'm thrilled about Knight and Bell, I just want more. I can want all I want and I KNOW King Carl isn't going to change, but I can WANT MORE. Funny thing is, remember the TSN boards LAZ? I was always arguing with Laz and Viper and others about Carl and his successes. I wanted Carl to stay! He had us competing year in and year out. Then we began to fall apart. Winning season, losing season, winning season, but still no playoff wins. Carl DID drag us out of the gutter of football, but I want more than AFC West championships and one and out playoff football. I want to go to the big dance. Just once, before I die, I want to see the Chiefs in a superbowl. They did it the January before I was born, not since.

Yes I am young my friend, and no I am not trying to be a thingy just yanking your chain a bit. I'm sure we are all frustrated, I just don't want to make the misery last longer than I have to. I try to find a way to make myself believe that the moves we make will somehow work out and help us get over that hump. I've been a chiefs fan since I was 10 years old (16 years as well) and I am as sick of losing as you are trust me. Hell I'm not sure but you probably get to enjoy the tailgates and watch them lose in person, I just get to live in the heart of Raider Nation and watch an occasional monday or sunday night game, the rest I catch through highlights and NFL radio. I can't stand Carl, and I am losing patience with Lamar as well but it doesn't look like things are gonna change for us in the near future so I have to grin and bear it..........

I live in the armpit of America, Arkansas. All I ever hear about are the Hogs, Hogs, Hogs, and some local semi pro baseball teams. When I get memphis radio, I get Grizz basketball. Nothing else. I'm a fan of the Arkansas State U. Indians. Never heard of 'em have ya? Well, no one in this state have either. They are perennial losers just like my beloved Chiefs and Royals. I can't win for losing.

Well I don't have it quite as bad but along with the Chiefs roller coaster I am a Braves fan, I would almost never make the playoffs then win 12 straight division titles, go to 4 world series and manage to come out with one world series win in that span. I know what Bills fans must feel like.

NO, your team has WON a Championship. Buffalo hasn't won crap. Sad thing is, I'd love for the Chiefs to have gone to four superbowls. We should have played the Giants in 91, not the Bills. We'd have won that game. Or maybe it was '93, whatever. If the AFC Championship game was in KC that year instead of Buffalo, I think we'd have won that d**n game.

I assume your speaking of the game where we had Montana and Bruce Smith kept bouncing his head off of the frozen turf like a pinball machine. I don't know if we would have won that game at home but it would have been closer. Our problem back then was Paul Hackett not players. We would have gotten embarassed by Dallas in the SB anyhow so it was probably better we didn't go.

Not Dallas, the Giants. Remember wide left? We'd have won that game. The Giants played the same kind of ball we did, but we were better at it. We had the running game and the defense, neither team was much for the pass. We'd have mopped the floor with the Giants.

I'm not sure of what you speak. In 1991 Buffalo routed Oakland in the AFC Championship then played the Giants in that Norwood game. In 1993 Buffalo routed Miami then got routed by Dallas. Finally in 1994 when we had Montana and Allen the Bills beat Montana to death and routed us 30-13 before going to the superbowl and getting routed by Dallas. We never had a shot at the Giants in the superbowl, and we never had the team to compete with dallas either. Our best recievers were JJ Birden and Willie Davis :spanks:

I could have sworn we played the Bills the same year they lost to the GIants. Yes, if we were to play Dallas, we'd've lost.
