Kansas City Agrees to Terms With Free Agent WR Darrell Hill

Kansas City Chiefs President Carl Peterson announced on Tuesday that the club has agreed to terms of a two-year contract with free agent WR Darrell Hill. As per Chiefs policy, no other terms of the agreement were made available.
Hill (6-3, 200) has played in 33 regular season games as a member of the Tennessee Titans, where he was a standout special teams performer. He saw action in 14 contests for the Titans in 2004, producing a career-high 15 special teams tackles to rank third on the squad. During his three-year tenure with Tennessee, he produced a total of 29 special teams stops, as well as a forced fumble on special teams. He registered a career-high three special teams tackles in two different contests with the Titans, accomplishing the feat vs. Washington (10/6/02) and at San Diego (10/3/04). Hill also owns three games of postseason experience, recording two special teams stops in the playoffs.
The Chicago, Illinois native originally entered the NFL ranks as a seventh-round selection (225th overall) of Tennessee in the 2002 NFL Draft. During his collegiate career at Northern Illinois, Hill racked up 88 receptions for 1,595 yards (18.1 avg.) with 13 TDs. He ranked fourth in the nation as a senior in 2001, averaging 21.6 yards per catch after producing 38 catches for 822 yards with seven TDs. He also contributed four 100-yard receiving games during his senior campaign for the Huskies. Hill attended Mt. Carmel High School in Chicago, where he lettered in both football and track.
