Just wanted to know which was more important to all the football fans here, college football or the NFL, and why? For me I think it would be college because of the atmosphere and the rivalries but don't get me wrong I live for both the NFL and college football. I think my main reason for favoring college is that I attend more college games (season tickets) then NFL (2 Chiefs games). Just curious about everyone else here thanks in advance.

I am not a college fan. I cant really get behind a league that doesnt have a true national champion. I hate the BCS. It is a joke. Give me a scenario that makes a little sense if you want me to watch. Dont pick teams for bowl games with 4 games to play.
I love the NFL. Been watchin it close to 30 years now. (started at 5 with the cowgirls) Luckily I found the Chiefs a few years later. (12 years old)
Anyway that is just me. I like the NBA over college too. And nobody else will agree with me on that, I am sure.

NFL... I just love the competitive nature of the sport. In college, you generally have the titans and the rest of the teams. I hate watching a Florida beat up on Sister Mary's School for the Blind 173-3. Most college games are boring. Unless you support one team or another that is. In the NFL, you don't have to like the teams to be entertained (for the most part).

I guess I am lucky I have been a chiefs fan my whole life however I do recall owning a steelers hat or something don't remember where that came from. You make some valid points on the NFL and college. I wish there was some form of Playoff but also I would like to keep the bowls, too. However I defenitely can't agree about college BB. For a few reasons. In the NBA the rules are not applied consistantly, there is too much isolation on offense, and no one plays defense. I think when the players get paid in the pro games it takes away from the drive they had in sports. I don't think the pros should not get paid but it is just another reason why I like the college games more then the pros. To me it just seems there is more heart, spirit, and togetherness among the players, coaches, and fans.

These games are good for the smaller schools because it provides them with money as well as an opportunity to have an upset. I find a lot of college games are boring too but like you said if you have a certain team, as I do, then its great. Which leads me to a follow up question to my topic is there a certain college that everyone is partial to?

Pro football is the best over all in my opinion. College does need some kind of play off system.

I know what you mean. I was just messin with you.
But there is definitely something wrong when you get to pick your opponents. Too many powderpuffs on the college schedules for my taste. Even a horrible team like the Bungles could beat a good team on any given Sunday. I dont think you can say that in the college game.

far and away! Although my favorite team is Ohio st (30 years now) It still doesn`t draw the passion the Raid-ers do for me.
