Boerigter goes for KC's offer

The Chiefs announced that restricted free-agent wide receiver Marc Boerigter accepted a one-year contract offer worth $656,000. Boerigter had a big debut season for the Chiefs in 2002 when eight of his 20 receptions went for touchdowns.
He didn't play nearly as well the next season, when he caught only 11 passes and scored no touchdowns. Boerigter missed all of last season after tearing a knee ligament during a preseason game.
In 2002, Boerigter tied the NFL record for longest pass play with a 99-yard touchdown catch against San Diego.
