I read yesterday that the Cardinals were intertested in signing him too. Came from a Dolphins source, so dont know if it was legit or just pressure on us to close the deal.  |

carl was hedging on the whole deal yesterday at the news conference.
he even said "the deal may not happen at all"
could be just a negotiational ploy though

I heard on the Radio here in CA that the Raiders now that they have aquired extra picks for Jolley, and Buchanan are offering the dolphins a 2nd and a 3rd round pick for Surtain. There is no way we can match that....

Well, according to Jay Glazer of foxsports.com, the deal went through...Surtain and a 5th rounder for KC's 2nd rounder and 5th rounder. Surtain signed a 7 year deal shortly after.
