why did he do so well at Ten. with the TiT(ans)? All I can think is that he had so much better talent at the time. DJ is a stud. Bell is at least adequate. Mitchell is decent enough. None of the LB's are dominant, for sure. The Safety question is perhaps true, Wesley doesn't seem to have much of a nose for the ball anymore and Knight doesn't have the speed needed to compete. But they are SAFETIES! We are getting torched in two and three WR sets where they are in a zone coverage. Our PRO BOWL CB's can't seem to cover themselves, let alone a WR. The D hasn't been the problem this year either. They have the uncanny ability to give up the big play at exactly the wrong time, but that hasn't been the biggest deal. The lack of offensive production has been the thing. We are essentially the same team that lead the NFL in offense the past couple of years minus an OC and LT. Is Mike Solari that d**n bad? I bet TG is gone after this year. They will have to break the d**n bank to keep him because he knows he'll never win a superbowl here. It comes down to his drive to win. Which is stronger, cash or glory?

gunther wasnt a defensive coordinator in Ten ... just linebackers.
he didn't have to decide on the scheme or decide when to blitz.... he just taught the linebackers what the defensive coord told him to.
alot of guys look really good when they are a level lower.
bad head coach looks great as an assistant etc
imo

BTW... Green should retire his old ass A Herman Shottenheimer offense can make offensive lines and Quarterbacks look really bad. when a defense knows what's coming they are alot harder to block. Green doesn't throw the ball well when he has to move ..... never has.
