Updating previous reports, ESPN.com’s Len Pasquarelli reports Miami Dolphins QB Brian Griese received a $1 million signing bonus and will have a $530,000 base salary in 2003. In the second year of the contract, the salary cap hit is in excess of $6 million, mostly due to a large roster bonus. Thus, Miami will have to keep him as the starter, restructure his deal or release him. He will now arrive in Miami on Sunday, June 8, not Saturday as earlier reported, to undergo a physical.
